Dogs are our best friends

Dogs are our best friends?

Noble animals, friendly and fun, as long as we have invested a little time in their education. In this PetDarling post we want to tell you how to socialize a dog, so that you have in mind some of the basic notions that you must teach to enjoy a balanced and calm dog.

What is socialization?

Socialization is part of basic education, and is to become familiar with everyday situations such as going out on the street, going to the park, meeting new people and also other dogs. This process allows the puppy to gain self-confidence and learn to function calmly and relaxed on a day-to-day basis.

The first thing you should keep in mind is that the education and socialization of your dog is a progressive process, which happens every day. So you must have patience and not expect immediate results after only a few days of teaching. This is not magic! It's like when we were little, and we did not learn from night to morning, but our parents little by little, with patience, they were teaching us new things.

When to socialize a puppy?

When can you start socializing a puppy? Well, actually, since the puppies are born, their mother begins a process of communication and care with them, and later, as the puppies open their eyes and begin to know the world around them, they socialize from an early age with their mother and her littermates. They learn to relate to each other, develop the first notions of hierarchy, learn to play, eat together, etc. Likewise, from very young, with just a few weeks, they are also immersed in a process of socialization with their owners.
