How to advertise on pets
How to advertise on pets?
Yes, and cats too. After segmenting the owners of pets during years, advertisers and advertising now appeal to animals directly through TV spots or games for the IPad, here everything goes to get the attention of your pet, which is, after all , which consumes the product in question. We show below 9 ads that go directly to pets: The next time your pet "asks" by the name D eun product, you know why it is...
1. Beneful (TV)
This European spot, made this year for Nestlé purine Beneful, dog food, contains a special sound, as a kind of susrro "doggy" that only dogs can hear. Once the attention of the dogs is captured, it is not at all clear what is the next thing the advertisement intended. Some dogs may be running to stand in front of the TV and, once there, not knowing what to do.
2. Bonzo (Outside)
The same idea as in the Beneful spot but a decade before and for outdoors. In 2011, in Holland, the brand of dog food Bonzo created a series of posters that issued an ultrasonic sound every 10 seconds that only animals could hear, not people. "Bark if you like Bonzo!" the headline prayed.

3. Wagg (Outside)
It's clear, dogs are attracted to certain sounds. But they attract even more smells. The dog food brand launched some outdoor ads that smelled. This time the owners could smell it too. A team of scientists mixed 15 mysterious fragrances to create the smell and make the dogs "crazy". Although they probably managed to frustrate them by not finding then any food in the ad.
4. Affinity Petcare (outside)
This outdoor announcement of 2005 in Germany was similar to that of Wagg, but not so technological. Real food was hidden detyrás of the advertisement and, through holes, the dog could smell it. So there was food, but the dogs couldn't access it. Very frustrating!

7. Hotel for Cats (TV)
For their part, cats have not been segmented very often. This year, Rhett & Link made a spot to promote the Holiday Hotel for Cats in Los Angeles where the owner, Margaret Hughes, speaks in "cat" language. Fortunately, the Cats responded better than the humans, whose immediate response was the mockery.
8. Whiskas (TV)
If we really want to catch the attention of cats, we shouldn't try to talk to them. This ad from Whiskas of 1999 was perfect, showing all kinds of objects floating around the screen. And it really worked if we judged the excitement that some of these floating objects caused in the cats that saw it from the TV.
9. Friskies (Digital)
Can the future of direct animal marketing be in the digital world? Well, it's probable. Purine is at the dawn of innovation in this matter with the launch of Friskies's sponsored games for IPad aimed at cats. The IPad is really a friendly device for cats but remember to protect your screen...
